Sebastian (MORA) grew up surrounded by music, from dancing to old school trance as a kid with his mum, to sleeping to classical compositions in his sleep, music has always been an outlet of expression and a place to find solace. At a mere 12 years of age the experimentation began with vinyl and digital dj’ing which quickly lead to the idea of creating pieces of music to become the perfect segue for songs that wouldn’t normally have fit together. This went hand-in-hand with his fascination of piano and composition that came about at age 17. The next step was the need of a recording device and the process of learning the software necessary. By age 19 he moved to Melbourne and was delving deeper into the world of production and exploring music. He was quickly swept away by a profound love for the doof scene and its ability to provide a safe and loving space with terrific music. It was through these profound events and connections he knew he would entangle the melodies and musicality he knew so well into a form of music where people could express their bodies through dance and find themselves in the same trance as him. With recent album releases with Universal Tribe Records, Synaesthetics and Zenon Records his music is rapidly makings its way across the globe. With future plans to travel and perform sets overseas, MORA has a goal to show everyone the music that makes him feel inner bliss in the hopes it has the same effect on them.
